Fractures, sprains, and suspected breaks require immediate immobilization to prevent further injury during transport. This padded splint first aid reusable design gives you a versatile, moldable splinting solution that conforms to virtually any limb and locks into shape with simple hand pressure. Comparable to the industry-standard SAM Splint, it belongs in every first aid kit, trauma bag, and emergency vehicle.
The foam-padded aluminum core is the key to this splint’s performance. When flat, the aluminum is flexible and easy to cut to size with ordinary scissors. Once bent into structural curves such as C, V, T, U, or W shapes, the padded splint becomes rigid enough to stabilize a fractured wrist, forearm, upper arm, leg, or ankle. After treatment, simply flatten it, clean it, and it is ready for reuse, making it one of the most cost-effective immobilization tools available for emergency preparedness.
Padded Multi-Purpose Splint, Aluminum, Reusable, Orange, 4.25” x 24”

This aluminum splint, made of lightweight and malleable foam padded aluminum is soft and adaptable. The splint becomes rigid and supportive for fractured or injured limbs by shaping it into a simple C, V, T, U, or W – shaped curves. (1) 4.25” x 24” Splint – with basic instructions
Usage:
For a wrist immobilization, bend the splint into a C-curve or U-channel shape that cradles the forearm and hand. The curved cross-section creates structural rigidity that prevents the aluminum from flexing. Secure the splint to the limb with medical tape, an elastic bandage, or a triangular bandage sling.
Yes. This padded multi-purpose splint uses the same foam-over-aluminum construction principle as the SAM Splint and functions identically. It molds with hand pressure, gains rigidity from curved shapes, and can be cut to size. It meets the same ANSI/ISEA Class B standard for first aid kit splints.
Yes. The splint is radiolucent, meaning X-rays pass through the material without significant interference, allowing imaging without removing the splint. It is also MRI compatible, which reduces the need to handle an injured limb before a diagnosis is made.
Flatten the splint back to its original shape, then clean it with soap and water or a standard medical disinfectant wipe. Allow it to air dry completely before rolling or folding it for storage. The closed-cell foam does not absorb fluids, making decontamination straightforward.
