Frequently Asked Questions

How many meals are included in the backpack kit?

The backpack kit includes 9 two-serving ready meal food pouches, providing 18 servings of long-term food storage meals with a 5-year shelf life — sufficient for short-term emergency nutrition for one to two people.

How does the backpack kit differ from the rolling bag kit?

The backpack kit is optimized for portability and bug-out scenarios where you carry everything on foot. It has 9 meal pouches (vs 12), relies on a water purification bottle only (no water pouches or purification tablets), includes 2 sleeping bags but no ponchos or tube tent, and comes in a lighter, wearable hikers backpack. The rolling bag kit is larger, heavier, and more comprehensive, better suited for home or vehicle storage.

Can I cook the meals in the field with this kit?

Yes. The kit includes a portable cooking stove with fuel tablets, a utensil set, and a 16 oz steel cup, providing everything you need to prepare the long-term food storage meal pouches while away from home.
