Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an emergency blanket and an emergency sleeping bag?

The emergency blanket is open on the bottom and wraps around the body like a cape or shawl. The emergency mylar sleeping bag is enclosed on all sides, preventing heat from escaping at the bottom — making the sleeping bag better for full-body heat retention in extremely cold conditions.

Can I use the emergency blanket as a signal device?

Yes. The highly reflective mylar surface can be used to signal aircraft, rescuers, or other people by reflecting sunlight, which is a recognized survival technique.

How compact is this blanket for storage?

It folds down to approximately the size of a small cell phone, making it small enough to fit in a jacket pocket, a first aid kit pouch, a backpack, or a purse.
